Vicky Saye HendersonRYT-500iRest®Yoga Nidra Level One Teacher

Vicky began practicing yoga in 2007, initially as a way of managing life’s anxieties and a means of self-care. After 10 years as a yoga practitioner, she received her 200-hr yoga teacher certification from The Sakhi YTT School (led by Pamela Meriwether), Columbia, SC. Additional training includes Level One iRest Yoga Nidra (iRest® Institute), Chair Yoga (Carey Sims), and Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery (Veterans Yoga Project). She is currently pursuing her advanced 300-hr yoga teacher certification with Sakhi Yoga School.

Previously serving The Big Red Barn Retreat as Yoga and Tai Chi program coordinator, Vicky continues as a service provider there, offering yoga, iRest Yoga Nidra, mindfulness, and outdoor walking meditation classes for our nation’s military service members and their families. A trained career actor, vocalist, and teaching artist, she is the founder/lead educator of Muse & Means Creative and Wellbeing, which explores the intersection between health & wellness and creativity & innovation, particularly for artists of all mediums. Its mission is to recognize the importance of gaining both “the inspiration and the know-how” for pursuing one’s well-being and offers wellness strategies for individual artists, businesses, and schools. She is passionate about bringing people to the mat and encouraging them along their life-long journey of self-care. Vicky is also the proud mom of her son, Cullen.
