Jeff Sears
RYT-200
A certified registered Hatha Yoga teacher with over 200 hours of training (RYT-200) with Rasika Yoga School (City Yoga of Columbia), Jeff began practicing yoga 15 years ago to help keep his body and mind in good physical condition while in recovery. After receiving the therapeutic benefits of yoga and becoming more grounded in all areas of his life, he was convinced that transformation through yoga is not only possible but also empowering and enjoyable.
Jeff believes that yoga is most beneficial when applied to practical, everyday life experiences. This philosophy means he presents his classes in a way that best serves his students and simplifies a seemingly complicated practice. He offers a challenging yet accessible yoga class that is infused with philosophy, breathing, anatomy and alignment. He is continually growing both as a teacher and a student. His training is ongoing and constantly evolving. His dedication and passion for yoga allows him to continually grow while sharing all of his knowledge and enthusiasm with his students.

Jessica Barnes-Smith
E-RYT-500
Jessica Barnes Smith, E-RYT 500, NASM-CPT Jessica has always been inspired by the human form and its movement. She began practicing yoga in the fall of 2000 while recovering from injuries related to a car accident. She regained strength and mobility through a steady practice but was surprised that yoga revealed a powerful subtle awareness. This feeling of embodiment allowed for a deeper connection to herself and others. She finally felt at home in her own body and hopes to share that experience with others. Jessica shares yoga with people of all ages and abilities. She adjusts her classes to fit the students. She offers both gentle and advanced classes as well as specialty classes for children, chair yoga classes, yoga for service members, and adaptive yoga for people living in a difficult body. Jessica earned her 500hr teaching certificate through Asheville Yoga Center. She studied children’s yoga with Childlight Yoga, mindful resilience with Veterans Yoga Project, and trauma-informed yoga. Jessica continues to study adaptive yoga with Mind Body Solutions and she is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Jessica graduated from Winthrop University with a BFA. She is an artist, spouse, mother of two girls, and a lover of nature.
